I work with students in a regular teaching setting (not online yet) but I've travelled quite a ways to study with great teachers myself (i.e. to Ireland to immerse myself in Irish fiddle, cross-country to immerse myself in learn violin techniques). I don't think virtual lessons will be the end of violin teachers as we know it, just an added option , that will work especially well for those who are past the very beginning stage.
